FRANCISCO ALVAREz

 PRESIDENT


Axis Art Projects founder Francisco Alvarez has extensive professional experience in the arts and culture sector, Co-founder of Mr. Pink Art Consultants in 2013, he has also held senior curatorial positions at Ontario College of Art and Design (OCAD) University, Heritage Toronto, and the Royal Ontario Museum (as Director of the Institute for Contemporary Culture). Francisco has established personal connections with artists and galleries around the world and a long track record of successful art projects in large and small venues. He brings expert knowledge of international contemporary art and design, museum exhibitions, collections management, non-profit and commercial galleries, and artists and other creatives.

Francisco is also a practising visual artist.

Sousie Tsotskos

 BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT & CLIENT LIAISON


Sousie Tsotskos brings PR, business development and client services experience to the Axis Projects Team. As PR manager for Tourism Toronto, Sousie helped bring global recognition to Toronto during its cultural renaissance projects, such as the renovation of the Royal Ontario Museum, Art Gallery of Ontario and the inaugural years of Nuit Blanche, LuminaTO and the Contact Photography Festival. Sousie is an active patron of the arts and is a member of the WXN and a Stevie Award Recipient for Female Executive of the Year in Business Services.

John Rubino

 ART CONSULTANT


John Rubino is a specialist in interior design solutions and museum collections (MMSt UofT), He holds an EU Certification Program at the Institute for Art and Restoration, Florence Italy, and has apprenticed in the Düsseldorf ateliers of artist Gerhardt Richter and set designer Karl Kneidl. He has worked as a curatorial assistant at the Royal Ontario Museum and 52nd Venice Biennale of Contemporary Art, and was Associate Art Director of the prize-winning Canadian film, 32 Short Films about Glenn Gould. He is Co-founder of the NUIT ROSE Festival and currently works at OCAD University.
